Communication worth sharing at the ECS - Il tema della comunicazione all'ECS



The 26th conference of the European Cetacean Society (ECS) is opening today in Galway, Ireland, jointly hosted by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group and the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. The theme of the conference is: "Communication, information and ideas worth sharing". Following are presentations/posters authored by Tethys researchers:

Il tema della conferenza รจ : "Comunicazione, informazione e idee da condividere". Le presentazioni o poster con autori Tethys sono le seguenti:

  • Social structure of long-finned pilot whales in the Ligurian Sea (Pelagos Sanctuary, Northwestern Mediterranean Sea); Monica Greco and Sabina Airoldi.
  • Residency Patterns, Home Ranges and Movements of Risso’s Dolphins (Grampus griseus) in the Western Ligurian Sea; Elisabetta Remonato, Andrea Aimi, Sabina Airoldi.
  • Use of photogrammetry to estimate sperm whales body length in the Ligurian Sea, NW Mediterranean,Nino Pierantonio and Sabina Airoldi.
  • Present Knowledge and Datasets of Risso’s Dolphins (Grampus griseus) in the Western Ligurian Sea (1990-2011). Sabina Airoldi and Elisabetta Remonato.
