Maritime traffic involves stress for northern right whales - Le balene franche stressate dal traffico

Northern right whales are known as a rather fragile species, and their numbers grow only very slow. Scientists now demonstrated that, among other factors, noise is stressing them. They have measured stress hormones in whale faeces and found they rose with the density of shipping.
