The wreck in the Sanctuary - Il relitto nel Santuario

The shipwreck of the cruise vessel Costa Concordia lies in the Pelagos Sanctuary for Marine Mammals, which was created because of the region's importance to whales and dolphins.
"Down to Earth", an online show featuring cutting edge stories about the environmental impacts of current events has been talking to Giuseppe Notarbartolo di Sciara, Tethys' President, who proposed the creation of the Pelagos Sanctuary.
Down to Earth's stories use expert knowledge to reveal how people affect the environment, even when unobserved in the press; in this video Giuseppe tells about the potential impacts of the shipwreck on marine life.
